STUDIO FAQs

Q: Where are you located?

Our studio is located on the ground floor at 626 Main Road, Towaco, NJ - right across the street from the Towaco Rail Station. You can enter through the side door at the bottom of the stairs which lead to Main Rd.

Q: Where can I park?

There is a parking lot in the back of the building, as well as parking space on the street and in the train station.

Q: What is your COVID masking policy?

As of March 15th, 2022, we have dropped our mandatory masking policy and will no longer be checking vaccine cards. Teachers are not at liberty to change this policy, please contact Cathy if you have questions or concerns. We will continue to review this policy against local regulations and adjust as needed. Anyone who feels more comfortable masking are always welcome to do so!

Q: What should I bring?

A: We do have mats, blocks, bolsters, and anything you would need on hand to take any of our classes. We ask that you bring your own mat if you have one as the ones in the studio are limited supply and are first come, first serve. Bring a filled water bottle (we do offer water bottles if you forget) and wear comfortable clothing you can move in. We ask that all props are cleaned after use.

Q: When should I arrive for class?

If this is your first time visiting our studio, please arrive 10 minutes before the start of class to get signed in and familiar with our space. If you are a regular, please arrive 5 minutes before class. Please note that the door will be locked after class begins. Entry into class cannot be guaranteed if you arrive after the start of class.

Q: How should I prepare and what should I expect?

Look at the schedule conveniently located on our our home page. You may also view the schedule and all class descriptions under our Schedule tab, and decide what class time and type will fit best. All of our classes are meant for Yogis of all levels. Our instructors are trained to give modifications to new clients as well as additional challenges to more seasoned Yogis. However we suggest starting with a Gentle Beginner class before moving on to one of the Flow classes. Please bring any props or borrow ours before class begins and take a minute to use the restroom if needed so that you can relax into your space for the entirety of class. We ask that you leave your cell phone in the cubbies (door will be locked) and do your best to remain present during class. If you have any concerns or injuries, please take a moment to discuss with your instructor before class so they are aware of any modifications they may need to make for you. Enjoy your class and reach out to us any time with questions!

Q: Do I need to sign up online or make a reservation before class?

A: The online reservations are a great way to commit to coming to class. Classes may fill up OR they might be cancelled if there is no one signed up by a certain time, so reserve your spot ahead of time through our home screen or MindBody. For all 6:00 am, 7:15 am and 8:15 am classes, please sign up before 11:00 pm the night before. If there are no participants signed up at that time, the class will be cancelled for the day. For all other classes beginning after 9:00 am, if there are no participants scheduled within an hour of class, that class will be cancelled for the day. Class passes and packages can be purchased under our Pricing tab. Our class passes and class packages are intended for group classes and cannot be used for private yoga or personal training sessions. Please note that all sales are final, non-transferrable and non-refundable. No refunds will be given for unused classes or time.

Q: I can’t make class, how do I cancel?

A: If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so within 2-hours of the scheduled class time. If you cancel your reservation after that 2-hour time period time, the pass will be deducted and a $15 charge will be applied to your account. You can cancel your reservation within the 2-hour timeframe by logging into your MindBody account, by e-mailing the studio at info@thrivebodysoul.com or by calling/texting the studio at (973) 370-5934.

Q: Is my first class free?

A: Our current Drop-In class is only $20. We pay our teachers a competitive teaching rate because of the various high quality trainings they need to take in order to guide and teach a class. As such, our pricing reflects the ability to continue to provide high quality instruction at our studio and value our instructors. We do offer a New Client Special that gives you one month of unlimited classes for $69. We believe you should have the chance to take as many different classes as you can before you decided what package or membership works best for you. Make sure you check out our Pricing page for current rates!

Q: Do you offer Hot Yoga?

A: Yes. We currently offer heated (95+ degrees), warm (75 - 80 degrees) and non-heated classes!

Q: I am not Flexible. Can I still take Yoga?

A: Inflexibility or even over flexibility are exactly why you DO take yoga. We are very motivated to bring yoga to everyBODY, because we know how important functional mobility is to your day to day life. We  will help you build strength and flexibility (both mentally and physically). We work with clients of all ages, shapes, and sizes who are either brand new to physical activity or regularly attend CrossFit classes and the like.

Q: How old does my child need to be to attend a studio class?

A: We believe that a parent has a better sense as to the maturity level of their child than we do! If yoga is something that your child would like to do and you know they  can handle a one-hour class without being distracted or lose interest, they are welcome to join any of our non-heated classes. We do require an adult to be in class with any child under 16 taking a non-heated class. We do prohibit children under the age of 16 from attending hot yoga classes. The age to attend a hot yoga class is 16 and up. We do not offer child care at this time. No children or persons not attending a class will be allowed to stay in the lobby at any time regardless if there is a desk staff member present.

Q: I am pregnant. Can I practice Yoga?

A: Congratulations and Yes! When you are pregnant, there are modifications that must be made in a normal yoga class. Most of our teachers are certified to teach pre-natal classes and/or trained in the proper modifications to give to an expectant mother. Please let your teacher know prior to the start of class so they can offer you the necessary adjustments. Modifications are necessary to keep both the mother and baby safe while practicing due to changes that naturally occur in a women’s body when pregnant. We can also offer private, pre-natal classes to either help ease you into a regular class or continue you your practice if you no longer feel comfortable in a regular class.
